DIY: Graffiti Name Decor

So my son is turning 7 soon. It's sad and happy seeing him get bigger everyday. Along with getting bigger all of his baby stuff is out the door. So those cute white letters with his name on his wall also had to go.

I decided to turn them into "big boy" letters instead of getting rid of them all together.

First the products I used:

I also had glow paint, unfortunately my husband found it and random things in my house are now glowing, but the paint is missing.

Also the re-used letters:

I used an old piece of wood but you could use cardboard or newspaper, make sure you are outside or in a well ventilated area.

Next I sprayed the black, you really could use any color. It is pretty impossible to mess this up so if it runs don't stress.

I let them dry for a good hour or so, then I got to the fun part! The graffiti part!

It's hard to tell in the pictures, but the paint comes out textured and with multiple colors. You can spray the entire letter or just parts of it like I did.

I let them dry for another hour or 2 then I got out the glow spray paint. The paint was pretty thick at this point so it left a little crackle effect which I liked, but if you don't you can just leave it off.

I let it dry for another hour or so and then I put them on top of his window, you could put hooks on the back and put them on the wall directly or use nails to keep them up.

He likes it and slowly but surely he is getting his big boy room!
