So my son is turning 7 soon. It's sad and happy seeing him get bigger everyday. Along with getting bigger all of his baby stuff is out the door. So those cute white letters with his name on his wall also had to go.
I decided to turn them into "big boy" letters instead of getting rid of them all together.
First the products I used:
I also had glow paint, unfortunately my husband found it and random things in my house are now glowing, but the paint is missing.
Also the re-used letters:
I used an old piece of wood but you could use cardboard or newspaper, make sure you are outside or in a well ventilated area.
After a long weekend and only the view of a longer, more exhausting week ahead... you have to give yourself a break. As women, single or married, we have a lot of responsibility. We have relationships to maintain, children to raise, elderly family members to take care of and a list of to do's that run from work to home and back again.
It is important to take our own mental temperature every now and then. Only you know when you have been stretched to your limit. Our boyfriend/husband, children and boss will continue to ask the same from us, and continue to take from our reserve of energy.
Today I was at work and had a light bulb moment. A petal lamp shade! I already had the petals left over from my wedding and an old lamp shade. I went and got some extra petals from the dollar store (just in case) and pulled out the handy glue gun.
Starting my project
I started from the bottom of the shade and worked my way up. Gluing the tips of the petals only.
Be careful not to burn your fingers. You may want to use a thimble to protect the tips of your fingers, as you press the petal to the shade.
I felt it in my chest and I felt weak in my body. So of course I googled chest cold remedies. I'm not a huge fan of medication.
The major results I got were warm water with lemon and honey, green tea with honey and cinnamon with honey. So I figured if mix them all together that should the trick! Along with a humidifier, I will sit here with my Netflix and hope this stuff works!
Going to work after long weekend can be rough! I know it is for me. I was sluggish and 100% not wanting to be there.
I notice that when my mind is tired and messy so are my surroundings. Today was no different. My desk was a hot mess, just cluttered and full of papers and randoms that really should not be on top of your workspace.
Sometimes I am just sitting around doing nothing and wasting my day. Of course that can be a wonderful thing every once in awhile but if you find yourself sitting on your couch every night or every weekend, it's time for a change.
Do you feel anxiety over your laziness? Do you know you have things that need to get done and still you sit there, stewing in your worries?
Start small, start with one action, one thing on your list. I think you'll find it gets you motivated to keep moving and even if it doesn't at least you finished something on your list!
