DIY: Petal Lamp Shade

Today I was at work and had a light bulb moment. A petal lamp shade! I already had the petals left over from my wedding and an old lamp shade. I went and got some extra petals from the dollar store (just in case) and pulled out the handy glue gun. 

Starting my project

I started from the bottom of the shade and worked my way up. Gluing the tips of the petals only. 

Be careful not to burn your fingers. You may want to use a thimble to protect the tips of your fingers, as you press the petal to the shade. 

Finished Product

The petal lamp shade was a super fun and simple project, but a bit time consuming. You may want to make sure you have a few free hours before starting.

This is a great way to be reminded of my wedding and it will have a special place on my night stand.
